NICE, a software solution provider, plans to beef up its presence in the Chinese market to help more Chinese companies in digital transformation with the opportunities brought by the country's burgeoning digital economy, its CEO said on Thursday.

"The Asia-Pacific region, especially China, is the company's focus area. China has become an important part of the global economy and it is developing with an unprecedented speed," said Barak Eilam, CEO of NICE.

"We will continue to expand our local partners here to create a well-rounded ecosystem to help us better suit and tap into the Chinese market," he added.

According to the company, its non-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) revenue in the Asia-Pacific region increased over 24 percent in the fourth quarter in 2017, year-on-year.

As a cloud and software solution provider, NICE's four main pillars will be the cloud, analytics, all-channels and artificial intelligence.

The company said that one of its fast-growing businesses comes from autonomous financial crime management, where it helps financial services organizations combine data, analytics and automation to improve detection, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.

"We also see similar opportunities here in China, where some Chinese companies also want to apply advanced technologies to compete with leading companies such as Baidu Inc and JD.com," Eilam said.
