A musical, Monsters in The Palace Museum: The Mission of Monster Wen, will premiere in Beijing over July 20-22.
The musical, adapted from works by Chang Yi, a Bing Xin prize winner for children's Literature, tells a story about a little girl's adventures in the Palace Museum.
The playwright Chang hopes to promote traditional Chinese culture through this drama. Speaking about the musical, director Ye Xunqian says: "After watching this drama, audiences can see how interesting traditional Chinese culture can be."
