Greek visit provides a tour through ancient history

I placed a hand on a rock in front of the Parthenon, hoping to feel the heartbeat of this splendid culture and civilization, which laid the foundation for Western philosophy and democracy.
Walking in the streets of Athens, it is easy to spot the Acropolis as it sits high in the center of the city. From time to time, no matter where they are, people often seem to look up and admire that ancient temple.
I’m willing to bet it’s because many of them would expect a bright future knowing their ancestors were responsible for such brilliant culture.
Every city, and every heart, should have an acropolis.
