Zhang Bin, executive director and senior vice-president of Hong Kong-listed Hanergy Thin Film Power Group, said on the sideline of the launch ceremony that HanWall is a system, with a price based on factors like the building's structure and construction conditions.

Hanergy made inroads into the thin-film solar area in 2009, having acquired Solibro, MiaSolé, Global Solar Energy and Alta Devices. As the interim report of Hanergy Thin Film Power Group showed, the company achieved net profit of HK$7.33 billion ($936.37 million) in the first half of the year, nearly 30 times of the amount in same period last year, and its revenue also increased 615 percent to HK$20.42 billion.
