13. Lumbini, Nepal
Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Nepalese town of Kapilavastu, Rupandehi, near the Indian border. It is the birthplace, according to Buddhist tradition, of Gautama Buddha, founder of Buddhism, who was born in the sixth or seventh century.
