China Merchants Bank pays the highest salaries to staff members out of all listed banks in China, according to a report by China Securities Journal.
With 5.77 billion yuan ($862.8 million) in average payments, CMB topped the ranking of listed banks in 2018.
Bank of Shanghai grabbed the second spot with an average payment of 5.19 billion yuan last year, followed by Ping An Bank which paid 5.12 billion yuan on average to its staff.
