China's booming internet development is breaking new ground with online education start-up Kaikeba, a company offering internet employees online courses for growth.

With the majority of the country's online education start-ups focused on the K12 (kindergarten to 12th grade) sector, Kaikeba said Monday that it differs by offering courses to 220 million internet employees, many from tech giants including Alibaba Group and Baidu Inc.

According to Fang Yechang, founder and chairman of Kaikeba's parent vocational education company Huike, the subsidiary has reaped a monthly revenue of 50 million yuan and already gained profits.

Founded in 2013, Kaikeba is already gaining profits from the provision of online courses on internet skills including Java, Python, big data and artificial intelligence, linking world leading IT and internet experts with internet employees.

"As a rare company tapping into this niche sector, we hope to offer more internet employees a new professional skill training platform to gain a lead in the industry," said Fang.

He added that Kaikeba's students not only come from top tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, but also from foreign markets, such as the United States, Japan and Singapore.
