The National Ski Jumping Training and Research Base in Laiyuan county, Baoding, is located about 150 kilometers southwest of Beijing. The base is designed to cover 51.8 hectares. The first section of it is expected to be completed and put into use in October, the report said.

The Plateau (National Comprehensive) Training Base, located in Chongli district, Zhangjiakou, co-host of the 2022 Winter Olympics, has been in use since 2005, mainly for the training of provincial winter sports teams. More ski trails are being built at present.
