China to jointly boost high-quality B&R construction

China will promote high-quality development in the joint construction of the Belt and Road (B&R), according to the full text of the Party leadership's development proposals.

More efforts will be made to build a mutually beneficial cooperation system on industrial and supply chains, enhance international cooperation on capacity and expand bilateral trade and investment.

The country will develop a market-oriented system in which enterprises are the main players, follow international practices and the principle of debt sustainability and optimize diversified investment and financing system.

Meanwhile, cooperations on public health, digital economy, green development, technology and education will be deepened.

China to prioritize agricultural, rural development

China will prioritize the development of agriculture and rural areas, and fully advance rural vitalization, according to the full text of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee's development proposals made public on Tuesday.

China will improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of agriculture. The country will adhere to the strictest farmland protection system, enhance the construction of agricultural water conservancy facilities, strengthen the support of science and technology and equipment for agriculture, and build smart agriculture.

The country will carry out rural development initiatives. China will put rural construction in an important position in socialist modernization, strengthen the comprehensive service capability of county seats, and build villages and towns into regional centers that serve farmers.

Meanwhile, the proposals call for the deepening of rural reforms. The country will improve the integrated urban-rural development mechanism, promote the equal exchange and two-way flow of urban and rural development factors, and enhance the development vitality of agriculture and rural areas.

Efforts will also be made to achieve an effective link between the consolidation and expansion of the achievements of poverty alleviation and, rural vitalization.

China pledges active role in reforming global economic governance

China vows to actively participate in the reform of the global economic governance system, according to the full text of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee's development proposals made public on Tuesday.

The country will stick to equal-footed consultation and mutual benefits, and promote platforms such as the Group of 20 in playing the role of advancing international economic cooperation, said the document.

China will make more efforts to defend the multilateral trading system, contribute to the reforms of the World Trade Organization and help make global economic governance system fairer and more rational, it said.

The document calls for active participation in multilateral and bilateral mechanisms of regional investment and trade cooperation, advancing the rule-making of economic governance in emerging fields, as well as enhancing the country's capability of participating in international financial governance.

Meanwhile, a strategy should be implemented to elevate the country's free trade zones and a high-standard free trade zone network with global reach should be built, it said.
