The strategy of rural revitalization can rectify the imbalance in urban and rural development, and consolidate the poverty-eradication achievements, says Matteo Marchisio, country director and International Fund for Agricultural Development representative for China.

He suggests that China should promote rural development in an integrated manner, by reducing vulnerabilities, safeguarding food security, providing good governance, and better protecting the environment in a holistic way.

Only with the same level of commitment, the same determination and the same allocation of resources as the battle against poverty, can rural revitalization be the same successful, he says.
