Chongqing has been speeding up smart manufacturing in recent years, which largely boosts local companies' production efficiency, and pushes forward the upgrading of traditional industries.
To deepen the supply-side structural reform, Chongqing government guides enterprises to adopt innovation-driven strategies and increase investment in R&D.
The city is expected to conduct 1,250 smart manufacturing upgrading projects this year, and the number is expected to reach 5,000 by 2022.
