The head of Xi'an big data bureau has been suspended due to poor performance, said local authority on the early morning of Wednesday.
The move came after the health code system crashed twice recently amid a citywide lockdown and mass COVID-19 testing in the capital city of Shaanxi province, causing inconvenience to residents in Xi'an.
Another official Liu Xin has been appointed as deputy chief of the bureau to preside over related works, according to a statement from the Organization Department of the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee.
