More Shanghai restaurants resume dine-in services
Restaurants in Shanghai have been gradually resuming dine-in services after shutting down for over two months because of the COVID-related control and prevention measures.
For example, restaurants in places including the L+Mall and Times Square in the Lujiazui Financial Center in Pudong New Area have been allowing customers to dine in the premises starting this week. Seating capacity, however, has been reduced for the time being.
In downtown Shanghai, over 80 percent of the restaurants in Xintiandi had resumed business as of Wednesday according to local news portal The Paper. The seating capacities for outdoor and indoor dining areas in the area have been capped at 50 percent and 30 percent respectively.
At Yaohan Mall in Pudong New Area, about 80 percent of the restaurants had resumed dine-in services as of Tuesday.
Eateries in four shopping malls owned by Bailian Group - Bailian Nanqiao Shopping Mall in Fengxian district, Bailian Chuansha and Shiji Shopping Mall in Pudong, and Bailian Jinshan Shopping Mall in Jinshan district - have also resumed dine-in services.
