Cycling across 70 countries for more than 81,000 kilometers, German traveler Kim spent 18 months with his bicycle on a journey from Portugal to Chengdu, China, to keep his promise to his beloved girlfriend.

The first dish he had when he arrived in China, a dish his girlfriend also loved, was fish-flavored shredded pork.

As he discovers the meaning of life and a love for China, he now believes that the end of the journey is in fact only the beginning.
