Passengers load up the rails in Guangdong

Passenger flows on rail lines run by Guangzhou Railway Group increased significantly in the last several days, with 1.45 million passengers carried on Wednesday alone, the group said.
The number of passengers on Wednesday, the 26th day of the Spring Festival travel rush, indicates an increase of 35.3 percent, compared with the same day in 2022. The figure represents 94.1 percent of the same period of 2019, railway said.
In the past 10 days since Spring Festival, which began on January 22, the railway has carried 13.78 million passengers, up 35.8 percent year-on-year from the same period last year.
