Big jump in rail passengers over holiday

To cope with the increased passenger flows, the railway operated 52,462 round-trip trains during the rush. Of those, many were night-shift high-speed trains.
Additionally, the group assigned more than 200 trains to help migrant workers to return to work in Guangdong province after the Spring Festival holiday, covering major labor-exporting provinces — Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Guizhou and Sichuan — plus Chongqing city and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
