People enjoyed in a festive atmosphere at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London on Saturday, marking the countdown to the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls this coming weekend. [XING YI / CHINA DAILY]

Opera singer Coco Shi was in the character of China's Tang Dynasty (618-907) throughout the day, performing a role from the classic Peking Opera Guifei Zuijiu, giving visitors a chance to appreciate how elaborate costumes, make-up and gestures are used to bring this character to life.
