He Naihe, chairman of the Union of Chinese Residing in Japan, expressed in his opening speech how pleased he was to see guests from both China and Japan gathered to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and to share their deep connection to China and their love for the country.

According to He, since its establishment over 20 years ago, the Union of Chinese Residing in Japan has grown into a union of 120 associations covering major regions of Japan, thanks to the strong support of both government and civil sectors.
