Rare dove tree flowers, often dubbed the "panda of the plant kingdom", recently graced Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan province with their beauty.
Recognized in China as a first-class protected plant species, the blossoms of Davidia involucrata – nicknamed "dove flowers" for their uncanny resemblance to the birds – transformed the park into a springtime spectacle.
Known for their evolutionary significance dating back millions of years, the dove trees' synchronized April bloom underscores Zhangjiajie's ecological depth and conservation efforts.
