Recently, public attention has been drawn to actress Huangyang Diantian wearing expensive earrings. Multiple reports suggest that Huang's father is a civil servant in Ya'an, Sichuan province, raising questions about the legitimacy of her extravagant spending given her family's civil servant background.

Her father with the surname of Yang was not involved in any post-disaster reconstruction projects during his tenure in Ya'an but has been under investigation due to violations including unauthorized business, according to the statement from a joint task force composed of disciplinary inspection, public security, and market supervision departments released on Thursday.

It said Yang joined the civil service in April 2011 after passing the city's standardized recruitment process and worked for the Urban Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade, focusing on urban management.

In September 2014, he was transferred to the Ya'an Investment Promotion Bureau and later to its affiliated Investment Promotion Service Center in 2015, and then he resigned in March 2017 for personal reasons.

From 2011 to 2014, his duties did not involve post-earthquake reconstruction projects. After his transfer in 2015, his responsibilities included managing investment promotion platforms and assisting in event coordination, with no participation in reconstruction-related bidding, fund approvals, or charity donations, according to the investigation report.

But the joint task force identified two violations: unauthorized business activities while employed and deliberate concealment of a violation of China's former two-child policy during his civil service period.
