Documentary 'The Heritage Guardian' premieres on major media in SCO countries
A launch event for the documentary "The Heritage Guardian" in the mainstream media of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries was held in Beijing on Monday.
Produced by China Media Group (CMG), the program will be broadcast across mainstream media in SCO countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Iran, and Belarus.
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent congratulatory messages on the program's broadcast.
"The Heritage Guardian" features vivid stories that reflect President Xi Jinping's deep concern for the inheritance and development of culture.
The program explains to international audiences the essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture and the solid cultural foundation underpinning his philosophy of governance.
Speaking at the event, Shen Haixiong, vice-minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, called for joint efforts to inject new impetus into building global consensus and deepening exchanges and cooperation.
SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev said the program's launch will help people in SCO countries appreciate the charm of Chinese culture and further strengthen mutual friendship.
