In a quiet courtyard in Fuzhou, Jiangxi province, the morning air fills with song.

At 84, Wan An'an, one of China's national-level inheritors of Fuzhou Tea-picking Opera, begins each day with her clear, lilting voice to keep alive an art form that has sung of ordinary people's joys and struggles for over 300 years.

Her story is not only about music, but about devotion, heritage, and the timeless rhythm of life in one of China's opera cities.

From performing before state leaders in her youth to teaching new generations today, Wan's journey embodies how tradition continues to evolve.

Click the video to see how one woman's lifelong passion keeps a centuries-old art form vibrant in modern China.
