Gao Yang, deputy mayor of Guiyang, Guizhou province, is under investigation for suspected serious violations of Party discipline and national laws, provincial disciplinary authorities said on Monday.
Guizhou's discipline inspection commission and commission of supervision announced the probe on their website, saying Gao had voluntarily turned himself in but provided no further details.
Public records show Gao has spent many years working in Guizhou. She was appointed deputy mayor of Guiyang in 2023 and was responsible for natural resources management and planning, as well as urban and rural construction.
