Five killed in Qiqihar nursing home fire in Heilongjiang

Five people have been confirmed dead in a fire accident at a nursing home on Monday in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang province, according to a statement released by the city's Jianhua district on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at around 3 pm on Monday at Fanghua Yiyang Nursing Home.
Fire, emergency management, and medical departments immediately arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations. The open flames were extinguished by 3:19 pm.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
