Railways expand travel services
Chinese railway operators have expanded services for the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, which started on Monday with some 539 million passenger trips via trains expected nationwide, an annual increase of 5 percent. As Pingyao Station under Jiexiu Train Operation Section saw an increase in passenger flow, staff members arrived early and guided passengers during entry, security checks, and waiting. The elderly and parents with children received special assistance. At ticket checkpoints, the employees spoke warmly to passengers and made them feel at ease, while at platforms, they confirmed the parking position in advance, helped passengers with their luggage and wished them safe travels.
