The Austrian brand Swarovski Optik unveiled its new generation of CL Companion binoculars at the Rosewood Hotel in Beijing on March 31. The launch featured an outdoor terrace experience area and brought together the Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy in China, representatives from Swarovski Optik's headquarters in Austria, and the company's China management team.
Mag. Franz Roessler, the Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy in China, delivered a speech at the event, highlighting Sino-Austrian cultural exchanges and trade cooperation. He praised Swarovski Optik's professional expertise and brand philosophy as a high-end optical manufacturer, and expressed confidence in its continued growth in the Chinese market.
Swarovski Optik's team then introduced the design concept and technological advancements behind the new-generation CL Companion. Guests were invited to the terrace for an immersive experience of the new product, feeling the harmonious integration of optics and nature.
Following the Beijing launch, the brand hosted a public experience event on April 3-4 on Wukang Road in Shanghai. The event welcomed binocular enthusiasts, outdoor users, and lifestyle consumers, offering a closer look at the product's features and design.
The new generation CL Companion is available in two specifications: 8x30 and 10x30, suitable for a variety of outdoor observation scenarios. It maintains the brand's signature high light transmission, reaching up to 90 percent for clear, high-contrast viewing.
Balancing durability with portability, the device weighs only 550 grams and is designed for comfortable one-handed use even over extended periods. Its ergonomic form fits naturally in one hand, while the exterior offers a soft, secure grip. The optical system has also been refined to better support eyeglass wearers and long-term observation.
The new generation CL Companion introduces a fresh design approach, incorporating fashion elements into optical equipment. With interchangeable outer shells available in Desert Orange, Mountain Green, and Wilderness Brown, the binoculars move beyond traditional aesthetics. These colors correspond to the natural contexts of desert hunting, forest greenery, and prairie wilderness, and allow users to match personal style or blend into their surroundings.
The launch event also showcased the AT Balance and ST Balance electronic stabilization series monoculars.
