Beijing museum to display 800 Latin American relics starting May

The "World of the Maya" section builds on previous international tours while introducing a newly assembled group of artifacts from Mexico, about 90 percent of which will be shown in Beijing for the first time.
Another highlight centers on one of the 20th century's most significant archaeological discoveries in South America, the tomb of the Lord of Sipan. The finds offer insight into the burial customs of the Moche elite and their sophisticated metalworking techniques. About 80 percent of the artifacts will be exhibited in China for the first time, with roughly half making their first appearance outside of Peru.
