Aluminum Corp of China Ltd (Chalco), China's biggest maker of the metal, plans to sell as much as 5 billion yuan worth of yuan-denominated bonds to replenish capital and purchase raw material.

The company will sell the bonds to institutional investors via the inter-bank market, the Beijing-based aluminum producer said in a statement yesterday to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
