Business delegations from all over the province reaped rich benefits at this year's trade fair.

Jixi, a city in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province, wrapped up 142 project contracts with a total investment volume of $1 billion at the 18th China Harbin Fair for Trade and Economic Cooperation, due to conclude today.

The contracts involve the mechanical, chemical, agriculture, and food processing and tourism industries.

Greater Hinggan Mountains, a forestry area in Heilongjiang, signed 49 cooperation programs at this year's trade fair.

The projects together involve capital worth 1.3 billion yuan. The area is now promoting its ecological tourism, green food, medicines and forestry at the fair, in the hope of attracting more investors.

Daqing has signed 34 projects with a total volume of 5.3 billion yuan at the fair this year.

Daqing is known for having the biggest oilfield in the country, which currently maintains an annual output of above 40 million tons.

To ensure sustainable growth of its industries, the city is now focusing on the development of chemical and agri-products processing industries.

Shuangyashan city inked 27 deals worth 4.5 billion yuan at the fair. This coal city is promoting coal chemical, coal exploration and food processing projects.

Yichun, a forestry city in Heilongjiang, signed 56 contracts at the fair, for a total sum of 2.8 billion yuan.

The city's abundant forest resources attract a large number of investors in fields like furniture, medicine and green food.

Qiqihar, the second largest city in Heilongjiang, signed 29 projects worth a contractual volume of 3.3 billion yuan at this year's fair.

Noted for being China's green food base, the city will hold a green food expo from August 28 to September 1.

Suihua, renowned for its agri-products, garnered 58 deals worth a composite 4.3 billion yuan at the fair.

The city's famed organic food is sold throughout the country.

Businessmen from Mudanjiang endorsed 20 deals, involving a total investment of 5.1 billion yuan.

The city will hold an expo on the timber processing industry from August 16 to 19 this year.

The delegation from Hegang signed 56 projects with a total contractual volume of 14.9 billion yuan at the fair. The coal city is trying to build an electricity supplier with its abundant coal resources.
