Auto: Carmaker FAW Group powers ahead in sales

Sales of China FAW Group Corporation, one of China's largest automobile manufacturers, have increased by 8.8 percent during the first 11 months, 0.28 percentage points higher than the industrial average.

FAW Group has sold 1.42 million vehicles during the first 11 months, accounting for 16.5 percent of the national total, according to the Group's sales department.

FAW Group's self-developed brand "Besturn", in particular, has realized sales of 43,870 sedans during the first 11 months, a 117.1-percent increase compared with the same period last year.

Global expansion of FAW Group is under way. It has established 27 4S (sale, spare parts, service and survey) stores in Mexico. In addition, an assembling workshop of FAW Group with a local counterpart is being planned in the country.
