From tiny to titanic, tech companies strut stuff in Las Vegas

Lan Lin, executive vice-president of Hisense, said: "We are proud to offer another example of our commitment to high-efficiency, low-power, high-quality products at affordable prices."

ZTE unveiled its latest smart projectors at the CES. ZTE said the products reflect its focus on creating new consumer experiences for connecting to the mobile Internet.

Cheng Lixin, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA, said that as more consumers use connected devices, device makers and carriers are under pressure to create a seamless and more personalized experience.

"We are making significant improvements in user experiences through our consumer experience unit, and consumer interests will be at the heart of everything we imagine, build and deliver in 2015," Cheng said.

Chinese companies are increasingly attracted to overseas industry shows. For example, Huawei launched its flagship smartphone at a 2014 electronics show in Spain.

But the CES remains the flagship event for the Chinese in terms of number of attendees. The organizers of the annual show said that 2,517 Chinese nationals participated in the 2014 event, the third-largest source of attendees outside the United States. The top two were Canada and South Korea.

The Chinese mainland also sent 19 delegations to the event last year, the most among all international markets, according to the organizers.
