Mother-in-law hears reason, apologizes
A man's new mother-in-law had some apologizing to do after she stormed into his workplace and accused him of being unfaithful.
The startled boss nearly dismissed his employee, surnamed Chen, over the incident in Wuhan, Hubei's capital, late last week.
Chen had been busy at work and had not gone home for a few days. That's what prompted his mother-in-law's visit.
After she learned the truth, she had to apologize to Chen's boss to keep Chen employed.
Chen also apologized for having ignored his newly married wife and mother-in-law. He spent more than 1,000 yuan ($128) to take his wife and mother-in-law out sightseeing over the weekend.

New hotel in Xi'an pampers its women
A hotel offering special services only to its woman guests opened recently in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi and a hot tourism destination in China.
With female guards in the hotel, special floors and rooms for only female guests and special food catering to women's tastes and health needs, the hotel pays great attention to make a more comfortable environment for women, such as establishing no-smoking floors and locations.
Yue Meili, the hotel's general manager, said they want to provide more special services for women, showing social respect and care to their female guests.
The chances of having restaurants and trains and other services for only women are, for now, mere speculation.

Four-panda fight leaves female needing care
A giant panda was seriously injured during a fight among four pandas on Monday, and experts speculated they were fighting for courtship.
The pandas, found only in Shaanxi and Sichuan Provinces in West China, were seen by Chen Changfu, a local farmer and animal protection officer in Baoji, a city in western Shaanxi.
Watching Chen approach, three of the fighting pandas ran away, but one lay on the ground with serious injury.
The injured panda, later determined to be a 13-year-old female, was sent to a local protection station, where veterinarians found three wounds in her back, buttocks and near one of her shoulder joints.
She is receiving medical treatment.
