11 dead in east China boat accident

NANCHANG -- Eleven people were confirmed dead and at least ten others still missing after an overloaded fishing boat sank in a river in east China's Jiangxi Province on Friday.

The boat, with a carrying capacity of 10 people, had more than 40 people on board when it sank in Sanjiang River in Nanchang County at 5:30 p.m.

The rescue work is continuing.
