Experts discuss Expo forums

A group of scholars discussed 2010 World Expo topics and schedules late last week to boost preparations for Expo forums.

They also talked about the "Shanghai Declaration" which will be revealed at a summit forum to provide guidelines for urban development.

The experts included He Jiankun, former executive vice president of the Tsinghua University and currently vice president of the Chinese Energy Research Society, and Wu Jianzhong, director of the Shanghai Library.

Zhong Yanqun, fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, and Zhu Yonglei, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, also attended.
