US Treasury Secretary to visit China

BEIJING - US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will visit China from May 31 to June 6, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu announced at a regular press briefing here on Tuesday.

As a special envoy of the US President Barack Obama, Geithner's China visit is at the invitation of Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan who is a special representative of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Ma added.
