Religious leader denounces Xinjiang riots

Abudukelimu Aizezi, a religious leader and local mosque imam, joined other Islamic leaders at a press conference Tuesday in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, lashing out condemnations over the bloody violence on Sunday night. 

The death toll from Sunday's riot in Urumqi has risen to 156, with 1,080 injured.
