Man divorces wife to look after mother, 100

For 100-year-old Cai Zi, an ancient Chinese saying, "A parent of prolonged illness find no filial children by the bedside", means nothing.

Cai's 73-year-old son Deng Huixong even divorced his wife 25 years ago to look after his ageing mother.

Two weeks ago, Deng's mother fractured her leg. Deng has not left her side at the hospital.

"It is my duty to look after my mother," Deng said.
