Vice-Premier meets former US Treasury Secretary

BEIJING - Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Qishan met with former US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in Beijing on Tuesday.
During their meeting, Wang said China and the United States share broad common interests, with China's reform and opening up not only bringing benefits its own people, but also making significant contributions to the development of world economy.
Wang expressed his hope Paulson will continue to contribute to the advancement of positive, cooperative and comprehensive China-US relations in the 21st century.
Paulson spoke highly of China's important role in coping with the international financial crisis.
He said the healthy development of China's economy benefits the United States and the world, and added that he is willing to continue his efforts to promote US-China economic cooperation.
