BEIJING - Bai Yun, head of the United Front Work Department of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has been removed from her post, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced on Tuesday.

Bai is also a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee.

The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said last week Bai was under investigation for suspected serious discipline and law violations.
