A senior official from the Guangzhou Party Commission of Discipline Inspection said the anti-graft body from the Guangdong provincial capital has officially moved forward to further investigate another two senior executives from Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Co. Ltd.

"Lin Feng and Hu Zishi, both deputy general managers of Guangri company, were suspected to have violated Party disciplines and accepted large sums of bribes in the bidding for Guangzhou's garbage burying and incinerating projects in the previous years," said Mei Heqing, a member of the standing committee of the city's top anti-graft body, during a press conference in Guangzhou on Friday afternoon.

Mei is also deputy director of Guangzhou Bureau of Supervision.

However, Mei did not reveal more details on the case.

Lin and Hu are suspected to be the key members in the group corruption case of Pan Shengshen, former deputy chairman of Guangzhou Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Pan was put under investigation for serious violations of Party disciplines, State laws and accepting bribes on January 6.

Pan, born in 1950, was chairman and general manager of Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Co. Ltd, before he took office as deputy chairman of Guangzhou's top advisory body in 2007.

Pan, an economist and a native of Xingning county in eastern Guangdong province, is a member of Guangzhou Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association.

Bai Wen, another deputy general manger of Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Co. Ltd, was brought away by the city's anti-graft officials for further investigation on January 20.

Bai was mainly in charge of the garbage treatment business in his company. He was also general manager of Guangzhou Environmental Investment Co. Ltd. The company is a subsidy of Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Co. Ltd and is mainly engaged in garbage burying and incinerating in the southern metropolis.
