Ericsson chairman Leif Johansson echoed Chinese President Xi Jinping's call of "capturing China growth opportunities" at the Bo'ao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Hainan island that global corporations chould join China's developmentactively, and accelerte industrial and societal transformation with broadband and digital power.

In his opening keynote address to BFA, President Xi said China's continuous growth will create abundant chances for other economies and he welcomed global companies to throw themselves in and reap their opportunities.

On Sunday, President Xi met with all BFA executive board members, and listened to theirideas and suggestions. Chairman Leif Johansson of Ericsson – a founding BFA member, which is also the world's top supplier of high-speed mobile broadband – elaborated on the transformative power of information and telecom technology (ICT).

Johansson said that it bodes well for the country as China has set "Internet+"strategy to reinvigorate its mammoth economy. Ericsson believes the power of technology and innovation will enhance a country's digital capability and ubiquitous connections -- laying a solid basis for all-around transformation and giving a facelift to industry and society.

Johansson told President Xi that Ericsson has entered into China for more than 120 years, and consistently made contributions to modernization of China's telecommunication infrastructure. Currently, Ericsson's 3G and 4G mobile networks have boosted revenues and efficiency of the country's three major operators – China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. Xi acknowleged Ericsson's efforts.
