VIP AT BEIJING 2008

     China has kept its word in presenting a special Paralympic Games, President Hu Jintao said while raising a toast to some 30 VIPs from across the world in Beijing Wednesday.
President Hu Jintao held a luncheon for international dignitaries who will attend the Beijing Paralympics closing ceremony, pledging more efforts to promote the well-being of the disabled.
Chinese President Hu Jintao said here on Saturday that he is confident that Beijing and China will deliver a high-standard Paralympic Games with distinctive features.
 The song "Looking back at you one last last" will be performed at the Paralympic closing ceremony in the Bird's Nest.
 Chinese leaders had a busy weekend balancing their time between the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games and playing host to visiting foreign leaders and officials.
