PepsiCo's new Asia R&D Center in Shanghai was recently awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold Certificate, making it the fourth PepsiCo R&D center in the world and the sixth facility among all the company's operations in China to receive the honor.

LEED is a green building rating system established and championed by the US Green Building Council. It represents the most comprehensive and influential global standard for the evaluation of environment-friendly and sustainable buildings.

The LEED rating system evaluates the environmental impact of buildings, measuring their performance across a broad set of criteria before concluding a green rating assessment.
