Premier, Polish PM discuss Ukraine crisis
Premier Li Keqiang and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed bilateral relations and the Ukraine crisis on Thursday.
In a telephone conversation, Tusk briefed Li on Poland's position on the turmoil in Ukraine.
Stressing China's principled stance, Li said that given the sensitivity of the Ukraine issue, it is very important for all parties concerned to remain calm and exercise restraint.
China has always adopted an objective and fair stance and worked actively for a negotiated settlement, he said. He added that China hoped all parties concerned would resolve their differences through communication and negotiation.
Li also said China is ready to work with the international community to facilitate a political solution to the issue.
During their talks, the Polish prime minister also extended his sympathies over the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines plane that had 154 Chinese passengers onboard.
Li said China highly values its relations with Poland and would like to develop a strategic partnership based on the principle of equality and mutual respect.
