Editor's note: To offer a clearer picture of history, the State Archives Administration released a large number of files on 45 Japanese war criminals who were tried and convicted in China after World War II. The special military tribunal of the Supreme People's Court held public trials, sentencing the criminals to eight-to-20 years prison term. Shuichi Kikuchi

He was born in Miyagi prefecture, Japan, in 1915. He was dispatched to "Manchukuo" in 1937. After Japan's surrender, he took refuge with the troops of Yan Xishan, a military officer of the Kuomintang, in August 1945 and served as major general and commander of the Artillery Regiment of the Instruction Corps of Taiyuan Pacification Government Office. He was arrested in Shanxi province on April 24, 1949.
