President Xi Jinping met with the visiting ruling party chief of the Republic of Korea on Tuesday, as strong mutual trust between China and the ROK's ruling parties has led to smoother interactions between the two.

Kim Moo-sung, leader of the Saenuri Party, arrived in Beijing on Monday for the first policy dialogue between his party and the Communist Party of China, which took place earlier on Tuesday.

The interaction and cooperation between the two parties "plays a significant role in boosting the bilateral relationship", said Xi, the CPC chief.
