Kobe Bryant of the Los
Angeles Lakers has given himself up to police in Colorado after a woman
accused him of sexual assault in a hotel, the Eagle County sheriff's
office said July 6, 2003. A statement said the woman went to deputies on
July 1 and told them the 'sexual misconduct' occurred in the Edwards area
of the county the previous night. Bryant is shown in a June 20, 2000 file
photo celebrating with then girlfriend and current wife Vanessa Laine in
the locker room after winning the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers
