The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is on its way to China's Sailing City of Qingdao.
Qingdao has claimed its second podium of the Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Yacht Race.
It was the 11th day for the Clipper Race fleet on the Race 7: The Forever Tropical Paradise Race to Sanya, China.
The Ninth Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Marine Festival came to an end at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center on Aug 20.
The 40,000-nautical mile Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Yacht Race got underway from Liverpool, England.
Some 140 young sportsmen attended a national sailboat youth club league match in Qingdao, Shandong province, from July 14 to 16, the latest sign that the sport of sailing is catching on across China. The young people were from 16 clubs in 12 cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Dalian, Nanjing and Suzhou.
German Chris Kobusch will skipper the Qingdao boat during the 2017-2018 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
Act Two of the 2017 Extreme Sailing Series from April 28 to May 1 provided a fantastic opportunity for sailing fans and shutterbugs.
