China, Australia sign Olympic agreement
The Chinese and Australian Olympic Committees on Monday signed the cooperation agreement for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, China Radio International reported Monday. Under the deal, athletes from both nations will be able to train and compete in each other's country. Officials, trainers and other experts will also participate in courses and events designed to augment both countries performances. The agreement is part of Australia's efforts to perform well in 2008 and for China to learn from successful Olympic nations. The agreement will stay in force until the end of 2008, well after Beijing's Olympic flame has been extinguished. |
