China is sending relief goods worth 50 million yuan (US$610,000) and 200,000 dollars in cash to Sri Lanka to meet emergency needs after the incredible disaster, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said Tuesday.

An Airbus 747 carrying blanket, tent, sheet and foods including canned chicken, beef, and mutton is scheduled to arrive Colombo at 4:10 a.m. local time on Wednesday from India, where some relief goods were unloaded to help Tsunami-hit area in India.

Sri Lanka was hit the hardest by earthquake-triggered tsunamis with the death toll of over 12,000.
